Roulette is a type of casino game called after the French word"little" that was probably derived out of the Italian game Biribi. Players can put bets on a single number or several numbers, as well as the color red and black. They also have the option of betting on whether the numbers are odd or even or (19-36) or low (18-18). The player spins the wheel one direction. After that, the ball spins in the opposite direction. The ball loses its momentum, passes through an area of deflectors before falling onto the wheel and into one of the thirty-seven (single-zero, French or European style roulette) or thirty-eight (double-zero, American style roulette) or thirty-nine (triple-zero, "Sands Roulette")[1] number and colored pockets of the wheel. The winnings will be paid out to those who have placed a successful bet.
